1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
9 years! God, it's been so long! Happy cry (Tears of joy)

2. What does your username mean?
It is a type of fruit. We call it mûre in French (my native language). When I had to choose my first username for the internet, I was 12 years old. I was modestly creating drawings on an oekaki website, but then I thought to post my traditional drawings online. I wanted an international username that would represent me well and would sound nice. I was watching an animated series on the TV (I don't remember it... but there were bunnies Shrug ) and one of the character was called Black Berry. It sounded very nice to me. I wasn't learning English at the time (we focus on German at this age in Switzerland) so I asked my mom what it meant. She told me it meant cerise noire in French, which was wrong because cerise noire means black cherry in English Crying ! I didn't know at the time and I thought it was a perfect nickname! A tasty, cute, sweet fruit with a little darkness but not something everybody likes. It was in English so a lot of people would understand it (the international part). It seems good with my Art style, my emotions, my character. So I kept it, then I understood what it really meant Ashamed ... but I didn't mind, since it was very close to what I first intended with my username Phew! . Also a black berry is less common than a cherry, less appreciated, less represented -like me (I thought), and I liked it all the more.
Then I heard of the BlackBerry phones and the Raspberry computers and I just hoped people wouldn't think I'm a fangirl of thoses devices Sweating a little... .

3. Describe yourself in three words.
Emotional, earthy, colorful. It sums up as much my art style as my character.

4. Are you left or right handed?
Right handed.

5. What was your first deviation?
A traditional drawing of an elf and a unicorn (made when I was 15 years old) elfe et licorne by BlackBy. But I always remember my first deviation to be nude Krystal by BlackBy because it was my first attempt at Photoshop Deviation love .

6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
I would say Digital Painting but to be really honest, it's hard to say. I post a lot of this type because it's more easy, more quick to make and it's a large part of my work, of the way I train myself. But there is something about traditional drawing and traditional painting that I love so much, something to do with the touch I think. I also love to do webdesign and photo manipulations. And 3D modeling, gosh I love to be able to turn around my creation :happybounce: .

7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Something flate and colorful, yet full of details and design, like  Fall Kayaking by AngelaRizza or lerms's work, or BioWorkZ's, or hikarishimoda's or galgard's. Ya feel me?

8. What was your first favourite?
Are you kidding me? After 9 years, with your shitty favourite viewer that don't show the deviations properly after 10+ pages I think I've fainted. ?! God I think it was one ofWen-M's first deviation? Something from 2006, maybe?  animal crossing by j-fujita or <da:thumb id="33531640"/>? I don't know, fix your favorite viewer and we'll talk about it again :shifty: .

9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Digital paintings of character design and creature design. Also Graphic Design and Photography.

10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
You DO know this question is incredibly hard, don't you CURSE YOU! ? I am a person who like a tone of different art styles; I don't know how I could compare two artists who don't even use the same media Stare ! How could you still ask this question after 15 years dA, nobody has only one, not on a website like this!

But if I would have to think about an artist I go crazy about, talk about him/her to everyone and loose my shit when they post a new deviation, it would be VeramundisjameszapataRuanJiabalaaKaiCarpenterMikeAzevedo, ... and I have +10 names in my head already!

11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Veramundis. He seems so nice and close to my character. He's my favorite artist, he is intelligent and love to learn new things, not necessarily art-related. It would be great to chat with him I think and to see what he looks like in real life Handshake . He doesn't live that far :eager: by darkmoon3636  !

12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Again I can't choose just one person because I had 3 deviants impacting my life in very different ways.
First they was
CrazyJul. We met on this website. He was a big fan of my fanarts of Krystal from Star Fox. We chatted and met and became the very best friends High-five! . He made me realize that my drawings were valuable and had an impact on people. I realized I could make people happy. He was honest and kind, it motivated me to go on. He was there when I was to depressed to draw.
He is the one keeping all the originals of the drawings of Krystal you can see in my dA gallery. I trust him with my life - and my drawings. I will love him until the day I die.

Then there is Veramundis. At the time I discovered his work, I was very self-conscious of my art, I didn't know where I wanted to go with it. I didn't even know how to make it work anymore. I was demotivated. Then I saw his work and I told myself "I want to paint like that. I want to feel what he is feeling when he draw because it speaks to me. I feel like I would like to work like that Nod  ." The fact that I felt close to him in a matter of character and art style (at least what art style I wanted to achieve) helped. Since then I follow him closely and like to listen to him. He has been my greatest motivation and inspiration! Honestly I would be lost now, if I didn't saw his work and heard what he had to say.

This one is not an artist in particular but more of an honorable mention to loishjuliedillonhadh and contraomnes who taught me things important that changed my view on art and my own art style. "It okay to use colors! It's okay if your drawings are not photo-realistic and have cute colors and odd details in nice places! It okay to apply abstract style in your photo-realistic drawings!" Those are things I was very shy about, some I didn't even considerate. I would be forever grateful to have seen they work, for it made me a better artist.

13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
Pencil and charcoal. I know, there is nothing done with pencil or charcoal in my gallery O_o . My deviantART gallery is all but representative when I think about it. There are certain things I like shared a certain way and other not.

14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
A quiet but big enough room, like my desk room, a classroom or my living room. It doesn't matter if there are other people, as long as they don't look at my work or talk to me. Public parks are good too if they're very calm, otherwise it lost my concentration Ohm... Ohm... . I need to not feel trapped in a small space, be able to concentrate and be calm enough to search in my memories for inspiration and emotions.

15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
When I received my first big amount of comments on my drawings. People were so receptive, they even wanted to see more! It was a new experience for me, a very happy one. I love you guys so much Blush .
