I tried to draw Miyu's parents. This pic was taken when Miyu was 17. I have a headcanon but I'm not sure about all the details so I don't tell you for now.
This is a colored sketch, I'm happy with the quality anyway. Fay, Katt, Bill and Falco's parents are coming soon.

It is portrayed in this picture that it is a fun, warming, family photo. The detail is amazing. It shows that Miyu is lively, by the way she looks, facial expression, clothing, etc. Her parents are calm, and they look like they are posing. I would say the best part is Miyu's facial expression and clothing. The rips in her jeans, the top she is wearing, the huge smile, all represents something about her. To me the rips show how she is strong and the two fingers (peace) and her smile show that she is also laid back. Also her clothes, which tells you she is very "stylish" when it comes to fashion. The texture of it shows you a more picture-like feature to it. I love the work put into this and I hope to see more of your work soon.
YES! After such a long time we, the good people of dA, are treated with a true genuine BlackBy, so to speak. Pleased as always, it will be my good pleasure to write a rather positive and always honest critique about "Miyu's Parents".
Miyu is a tomboy to start with, and BlackBy has been able to capture that attitude. In fact, she captured it so well that it's the first thing that attracts the eye when looking at the artwork in general. Miyu's big smile, her tough appearel (note the ripped, sluggish pants) and her "center of attention" pose make her indeed the center of the attention.
Second, it is clear that BlackBy thought about how to portray Miyu's parents. Nothing is known about them, so she literally had to create them herself. She made a very good decision on how to do so, which is to be seen in the personalities she gave them. The father looks to me like the "strong and silent" type; muscular, though far to wise to be a brainless macho. The patterns on the fur of his head give him the looks of a warrior, while his overall appearence make him look like a man who's known the difficulties of life. The kind, blue eyes complete the picture of him being a good father. Miyu clearly is a child of her mother, so to speak; she looks like her both in looks and attitude. The mother isn't a very girly type either for she has the appearel of a strong woman, yet she is not a tomboy like her daughter. At least, that's what I make of it.
As a conclution: if we would combine both the father and the mother, as created by BlackBy, the only logical outcome would be Miyu. Which means that BlackBy did a bang-up job on this particular subject. The highest points for vision and originality, and good points for technique and impact; I've seen what BlackBy is capable of and this artwork is not the maximum of her skills (probably by her own choice).
Still, it is wonderful and I'm very impressed. As usual, of course.
I don't think I would change anything. At first I thought maybe change the direction Miyu's father was looking so it was more like the other two, but now that I look at it again, your way is better It adds to his masculine appearance in a way that I can't really explain, and you did a good job with it!
And Miyu's facial expression is priceless! It comes across as something that fits her personality so well!
Pfiou tant mieux!
