The first time I saw this on a youtube video, I dropped a jaw. It was painfully obvious how it surpassed all the other fan art in the video. It's so well done that I envy Fox. Anyway, I could use a great artist like you. I recently made a fanfiction story and I introduced new characters that I created. I'm trying to find a good artist willing to draw my characters so that I may put a link on my story to give my less imaginative readers something to look at. The only word that comes to mind here? Awww. :3 A light-hearted bit of romantic fluff, which these two could DEFINITELY use after the events of Star Fox Command (though I like to just pretend a lot of that game never happened). The presence of the deep pool and the motes of light makes me think they've returned to Sauria, with Krystal getting back in touch with her spiritual roots.
I like how you drew Krystal and Fox, here--the Assault designs always looked a little non-Star Fox to me (though Krystal's uniform was badass), and don't get me STARTED on the faces. But here? I love how you've drawn Fox and Krystal's countenances--Krystal looks much like her usual self (an exotic knockout), and you've done a good job of making Fox's boyish looks more prominent (that's a plus over the Assault look, trust me). The original outfits are a nice touch, too--while I feel that pink is a little TOO stereotypical and unsuiting of Krystal's personality (my preference is silvery-white with indigo/cyan accents), red works surprisingly well for Mr. McCloud.
Lovely touch on the water, by the way. What ripple effect did you use? And how did you pull off the blur of Krystal and Fox's submerged legs?
Incidentally, this is something I'm faving.
